SSL Security Certificates
With all forms that involve credit card transactions, an SSL security certificate is required to give users the confidence and peace of mind of submitting credit card information over the internet. Our web partner offers an SSL 123 Thawte certificate — which is a 256 bit encryption of data that will ensure the security of information passed through the internet. Users will see a “locked” symbol at the bottom of their browser when they use the shopping cart.

Internet Payment Gateway
The Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) allows variables such as “name, price, credit card number” to be passed to the bank’s API (Application Programming Interface) for online transactions. We will liaise with your companies nominated bank and do the necessary programming to ensure payment has gone through the bank’s API successfully.
The Internet Payment Gateway is also responsible in receiving the response signal from the bank once a transaction has been passed (successful/unsuccessful transactions), thus displaying the correct message to customers. While an IPG may not be a necessary component for the shopping cart to work, it does minimize administration work greatly as all transactions will be automatically processed by the bank and money deposited into your nominated account.
